We are located approximately 10 minuites drive from Ilfracome on the North Devon coast. Although our address is 'Berrynarbor' we are much closer to Combe Martin village and only a 10 minute walk to Newberry beach and Combe Martin bay. We are also perfectly situated to visit Woolacome, Saunton Sands and Croyde and Exmoor National Park is also right on our Doorstep. Barnstaple is 30 minuite drive away.​

GETTING HERE BY CAR
The best way of finding us is to head for Combe Martin on the A399 towards Ilfracombe. Follow the road all the way through Combe Martin, you may see the sea and Combe Martin Bay on your right. Continue up the hill with 'Newberry Valley' campsite on your left and continue driving slowly around the bend because the entrance to Newberry Wood will be immediately on your left up a steep driveway directly opposite the entrance to John Fowler Sandaway. Take the driveway (signed 'Castle Hill Lodge' who are my neighbours) to the top and park at the garage on your left.

Please note: If travelling on the A399 from the opposite direction (from Ilfracombe or Berrynarbor towards Combe Martin) you will need to pass Newberry Wood on your right and then find a safe place to turn around. This is because there is not enough room to turn into our driveway from this direction.
Check in at the yellow door across the garden path.
Free parking for all our guests is available on a private driveway. Please note however that we can only accommodate one car per room booked. If you require more than one car parking space per room booked please contact us in advance and we will try to make this possible for you.
GETTING HERE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The nearest train station is Barnstaple from here you can get the rail link 301 bus to John Fowler Sandaway bus stop which is right out side the house. Cross the road by the main entrance to the holiday park and walk up the drive signed 'Castle Hill Lodge' (who are by neighbours) and then take the second entrance on your left up the steps to 'Newberry Wood'. Check in at the yellow side door.

Please be aware that the 301 service does not operate in the evening or at night and also does not operate on Sundays or bank holidays. An additional bus service called the Exmoor coaster is available during peak season and on Sundays and bank holidays. This bus travels from Ilfracombe-Minehead and also stops right outside the guesthouse.
GETTING HERE BY FOOT
The guesthouse is on the South West Coast path so if you are walking the path and need somewhere sleep for the night then finding us couldn't be easier.

​Walking from Lynton/Hunters Inn
Once you reach the carpark by the beach in Combe Martin continue walking towards Berrynarbor on the coast path which avoids w alking on the road when the pavement comes to an end.
